God’s Faithfulness

Thinking about God’s faithfulness today. I have had a song called “the blessing” on repeat since it was first released. I am sure by now most of you have heard it too, but if not go listen to it right away and I hope it blesses you just like it has blessed me.

This song is just so powerful and it speaks volumes of God’s faithfulness, but here is the cool part… this song doesn’t just stop at telling us about His faithfulness to us, but also the faithfulness that will carry on to our children and our children’s children. Like this is amazing news for us!! To know His faithfulness passes to generation to generation is refreshing and satisfying to the soul.

It gives me peace to know that my children will experience that same faithfulness in their lives one day as I have experienced in mine. It gives me joy that they too will have His blessing upon their lives and that they will know they are truly loved by a good good Father.

To anyone who is having a hard time feeling God’s faithfulness today I challenge you to listen to some worship music, pray and talk to Jesus, and read the Bible and let it renew your mind and remind you that He is faithful til the end of time.

“He is the faithful God who keeps His covenant for a thousand generations.” Deuteronomy 7:9

Quarantine Transformation

I have a week with no school before summer classes start, so I thought I would sit down and write a post before my life gets full again with college classes.

I don’t know about you, but I feel like I have been learning a lot about myself through this quarantine. Actually let me rephrase that, I have been learning a lot about the truest me during this quarantine. This includes all the good qualities that I possess as well as the not so good qualities and sometimes this is hard to see and hear. Seriously, who wants to see their weaknesses and shortcoming… not me, but I am thankful my God does it in such a grace filled way. I call them graceful whispers. They come softly, gently, gracefully, and full of truth and conviction.

I was thinking about if I had to choose one word to represent this season in quarantine for me, it would be the word transformation. I have been able to spend a lot of time reading the Bible during this quarantine and really pressing into the Lord and His goodness. I feel like this is something we don’t want to miss. What I mean by this is I believe God is doing amazing work during this time in hearts of believers and it might even bring about revival afterwards, so if we don’t have our hearts in a position for Him to work on we might miss an amazing opportunity.

I believe this quarantine has caused a lot of transformation for people and to be honest a lot of people are complaining about it, but I think we should choose to see the good even in the hard times. Families are reconnecting, our daily lives are slowing down, and each day seems to be a forced sabbath. Relationships are being mended, communication skills are being built, and friends we once were close with are reaching back out to check up on us.

Transformation is a good thing when it is done by the Holy Spirit in our hearts, souls, and minds. I pray that you would have an open mind and an open heart. That you would allow the Lord to transform you from the inside out. That you would let go of everything in this life and at the end you would be found holding nothing but onto Jesus. Blessing on you!!

Finding Endurance

As I watched online church this past Sunday the pastor preached on the subject of endurance and the importance of having endurance in this season we all find ourselves in. Right now we find ourselves in difficult times, in hurting times, and as of right now if were being honest we do not know when this will all end, or when it does end will things ever be the same again. It is in these times that we need to press in, to endure, and to remember some of God’s promises.

When I looked up the word endurance in the dictionary the definition stated “the fact or power of enduring an unpleasant or difficult process or situation without giving way.” The first two words that stand out to me in the definition is unpleasantand difficult. It seems as though we cannot experience endurance unless faced with unpleasant, or difficulttimes and this makes sense because why would we need endurance unless we were having to endure a hard situation. It is easy to thrive in good times, but in hard times… that is a different story.

We all have people in our lives that have endured hard things, whether that be sickness, losing a loved one, or something else. We have had grandparent, great grandparents, and people that have gone before us who have experienced hardships and pandemics. You hear others often say that sometimes we need to look back at history to learn and I believe this is true. While we are living in trying times I believe it would be wise to read back on trying times in history, because maybe it will just give us a glimmer of hope that all things do come to an end, and yes that sometimes not everything is the same as it once was, sometimes it is even better than before. So let us choose to endure, to have hope, and to except the new changes and maybe realize that things are better off than they were before the hard times.

2 Samuel 22 encouragement

Hello everyone, and welcome to my first blog post! I have to be honest and say I don’t know what this blog will look like, but I do know I want to share my passions with you and things that bring me joy, so I guess that it a good goal to have for this blog. I have had this blog for years now, but wanted to recreate it, because just like all of us season change and so does blog posts. We are living in uncertain times, so while I am quarantined at home and doing online classes I thought I would start something again that would encourage people, share what is bringing me joy, and also share what the Lord is teaching me through this season of life.

Me and my boyfriend have been reading through books of the Bible for the past few months and I have to say if you are in a relationship I highly encourage you to do this. This has not only helped us grow closer to Jesus as separate individuals, but also closer together as individuals. The book we have been on is 2 Samuel and today I read chapter twenty-two and it could not have come at a better time. It is hard not to grow weary, but in this chapter we are reminded by David’s words that God does come to our aid and that He loves His children dearly.

So I want to just take some time to break down some verses and proclaim who God is to His children and I pray that it will encourage you like it did for me today.
