2 Samuel 22 encouragement

Hello everyone, and welcome to my first blog post! I have to be honest and say I don’t know what this blog will look like, but I do know I want to share my passions with you and things that bring me joy, so I guess that it a good goal to have for this blog. I have had this blog for years now, but wanted to recreate it, because just like all of us season change and so does blog posts. We are living in uncertain times, so while I am quarantined at home and doing online classes I thought I would start something again that would encourage people, share what is bringing me joy, and also share what the Lord is teaching me through this season of life. 

Me and my boyfriend have been reading through books of the Bible for the past few months and I have to say if you are in a relationship I highly encourage you to do this. This has not only helped us grow closer to Jesus as separate individuals, but also closer together as individuals. The book we have been on is 2 Samuel and today I read chapter twenty-two and it could not have come at a better time. It is hard not to grow weary, but in this chapter we are reminded by David’s words that God does come to our aid and that He loves His children dearly. 

So I want to just take some time to break down some verses and proclaim who God is to His children and I pray that it will encourage you like it did for me today. 

2 Samuel 22

• God is our rock, fortress, deliverer, refuge, shield, and salvation in time of need.
• God saves us from our enemies 
• God is worthy to be raised ALAWAYS 
• God hears our voice even in times of great need
• God rescues us 
• God delights in us 
• God deals with us
• God rewards us
• God is merciful 
• God is a lamp to us 
• God is our light
• God’s way is perfect 
• God’s word is true 
• God trains us 
• God equips us
